  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Position: Machinist (Manual Lathes/Mills/Drill Presses) Location/s: Ashland, VA Duration: 3 months contract (possibility to convert to permanent role depending on performance and needs) Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Mon-Fri; Work 10hrs./day, and Saturdays as required) Pay Rate: Up to $27.00/hr. (Depending on experience) Job Description: Qualdoc is hiring a Precision Machinist for the manufacturing of overhead cranes and components, specializing in Manual Lathe, Manual Mill, and Boring Mill/Drill Press. Expectations and Required Skills:

  • Interpret intricate machining drawings, and operate manual lathes, mills, and drill presses, boring mill based on provided specifications
  • Maintain tolerances within .0005” for precise machining using precision measuring equipment
  • Ensure safe practices in a heavy industrial environment, lifting to 50 pounds
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and communicate effectively with team members and engineers


Other details:

  • Punctual attendance is expected daily
  • Work a 10-hour shift and Saturdays as needed
