Summary:
In this role, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate hardware systems. Emphasis will be on fast iterations and resourceful solutions. The position requires the ability for independent detailed design work and a high-level system understanding of hardware and product interoperability across the family. Communication and leadership skills are highly appreciated. You will be a role model and live our Vision, Mission, and Values.
This is a full time onsite role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dynamic problem solving and willingness to explore unconventional approaches when needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to drive projects to success is ideal
- Prototyping proof of concepts
- Ownership of electrical designs and hardware product features
- Build documentation, including wire harnessing
- Build vs. buy decision-making Component scoping and component substitution advice
- Custom module development where required
- Bring up and debug
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 3-10 years of hands-on industry experience in building prototypes and successfully releasing consumer electronics products
- Hands-on experience and a proven track record in hardware development
- Expertise in hardware integration, including the following: SOC, microcontrollers, microprocessors (ARM), embedded peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, embedded flash, high-speed serial)
- High-speed signaling and hardware protocols for memory and camera BUS
- Power supply architecture understanding
- Schematics design
- Component selection and battery charging
- Low power system design and integration
- Sensor selection and integration
- Form factor-based architecture proposal, system buildup, component selection, and integration
- Some knowledge of RF systems, wireless products, Signal Integrity, High-speed signals, and Power Integrity
- Some working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and construction
- Knowledge of PCB materials, PCB design process, PCB assembly/manufacturing process
- Experience with bring-up and debug of mixed-signal designs
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Skills for hardware debugging through elimination methods
- Hands-on experience with test equipment and lab resources, including oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, logic analyzers, vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, data loggers, multimeters, and optical and thermal analysis tools
