The Components Engineering Team at Apple is responsible for identifying, documenting, and releasing efficient components from a variety of commodities for some of our products. The team is a multi-functional extension of System Integration Electrical Engineering team focusing on ensuring that the right specific components are selected for every electrical component in the Product's Design. Description

The Individual at this role will have the opportunity to work on the intricate and complex issues impacting delivery for best-in-class Apple devices. Specific duties include but are not limited to:Project Team Support across Commodities as the Resident Component ExpertSupport New Product Introduction by developing cost model, lead time, qualification, roadmap, alternate component suggestions, and follow up with vendors.Locate and qualify new potential component suppliers.Review and evaluate component PCNs and FA reports, evaluating issues and risk to the project.Responsible for coordinating and tracking all component root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective action.Documenting and releasing all component specifications.Commodity research, including identifying supply chain opportunities and tracking supplier roadmaps.

Pay & Benefits

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $280,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
