Team Cognitive/CivitasDX is actively seeking a highly skilled Development Lead to join our dynamic team in support of the VA T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) program. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional development teams, possess excellent leadership skills, and be well-versed in full-stack development technologies, have a strong background in Agile methodologies, .NET, C#, API development, and experience working with government projects.

Responsibilities Include:

Development Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members.

.Net Development:

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Design, development, and testing of new features in the applications. Responsible for regular communication with others involved in the development process. Implement, test, and bug-fix functionality.
  • Responsibility for design and implementation of software projects using C#
  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and other developers to design and implement new features.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to .Net development.
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications using platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions and leverage cloud services for scalability, resilience, and performance.

Required Skills:

  • C#, Microsoft .Net
  • Basic HTML5 and CSS3, JavaScript 5.x, TypeScript 4.x, Bootstrap 5.x, JQuery 3.6.x
  • Visual Studio CODE (for development) and Visual Studio 2019 2022: Team Foundation Server
  • Ability to write CLEAN, WELL FORMATTED CODE that well DOCUMENTED
  • Application Programming Interface (API)
  • Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server

Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:

  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience, - OR
  • Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience, - OR
  • PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
  • Ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
