We are looking for exceptional Field Service Engineer Trainees to become a valuable partner in the growth and sustainment of our product portfolio and service support strategies. IMPORTANT CANDIDATE LOCATION: Candidates will spend approximately 4 – 12 months training at our headquarters in Sanford, FL. Upon successful completion of the training program, the candidate will likely be relocated to a region in the United States (relocation area is TBD and will be based on our most impacted growth areas).

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • A basic understanding of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting multi-technology systems. They may also have entry level experience in medical imaging service, medical equipment, or military electronics
  • Associate degree, military training or equivalent work experience dealing with electronics, medical devices, mechanical systems, computer science or related technical discipline

Upon completion of the program, the trainee must be able to:

  • Relocate and be able to travel anywhere Omega has a system and work flexible hours, including nights/weekends/holidays, on short notice to rapidly respond to customers that need support. Must also have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a passport (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Demonstrate understanding of the fundamentals of x-ray technology and mechanical components within the medical device field
  • Display knowledge in wire crimping, soldering, basic electronics, measuring of high and low voltages, and troubleshooting fuses, relays, and pots. Understand and apply electronic, mechanical, fiber optic, and networking technologies
  • Read and translate various types of schematics
  • Utilize calibrated testing equipment
  • Continually train on and understand the core requirements of each system within the Omega portfolio to service and maintain the products at the highest level
  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Use professional verbal and written communication to partner with internal and external customers on various issues
  • Provide constructive feedback to the Design and Engineering Teams to capture areas of improvement for our products.
  • Partner with the Sales Team on potential leads for contracts or product sales opportunities
  • Be flexible to change with company policies designed to drive efficiency, accountability, and growth for the company and Service Organization.
