Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect with expertise in IBM API Connect and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and implementing API and integration solutions.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable and secure APIs and message flows that ensure seamless system integrations.
You will play a key role in the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of integration solutions, ensuring they align with business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement APIs using IBM API Connect, DataPower, and other integration technologies.
• Create and manage RESTful and SOAP APIs for various business applications and services, ensuring secure, high-performance integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define API functionality, translating them into technical specifications and robust integration designs.
• Develop integration flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), including message transformations, routing, and enrichment using ESQL, Java, and Mapping nodes.
• Configure security policies for APIs, including OAuth, JWT, and other authentication methods, to ensure data protection and compliance.
• Perform API and message flow lifecycle management, including versioning, publishing, monitoring, and deprecating APIs and flows.
• Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms for integration solutions to ensure robustness, easy troubleshooting, and optimized performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes for APIs and integration flows.
• Document architecture, API solutions, integration flows, and message mappings, ensuring clarity and knowledge transfer for development and support teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends in API design, security standards, and integration best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 6+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions using IBM API Connect, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), or IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
• Strong knowledge of API and integration security protocols, including OAuth, JWT, and best practices for secure communication.
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• IBM API Connect or IBM ACE/IIB certification is a plus.
