The Role

The Operations and Special Projects Manager will be accountable for execution and maintenance of operations initiatives and ensuring the evolving needs of customers and internal teams are met to hit the company’s goals. They are familiar with using various mediums to facilitate change such as written memos, presentations, workflow designs, and excel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading, implementing, and maintaining various cross-functional initiatives that improve the outcome of the business.

What You'll Do

Process Improvement:

  • Identify problems and issues across the organization and defining processes to solve them
  • Create best practices for process analysis and develop proposals to centralize the storage and maintenance of all process diagrams

Technical Implementation:

  • Coordinate with senior technology leaders to ensure all proposed business solutions align with technology strategy
  • Use no-code tools such as Asana and Excel

Cross-functional Coordination and Communication:

  • Execute cross-functional work requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders and business units
  • Identify opportunities to solve specific business unit problems with new and existing solutions; create “to be process” documentation/workflows in the end-to-end business lifecycle
  • Synthesize and present large amounts of information effectively

What You'll Need

  • Exposure to, and strong interest in, financial services, particularly lending greatly preferred
  • Experience preferably at least one of the following industries: FinTech, LendTech, consulting firm or investment bank
  • Ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simply lay out the conclusions and reasons for each decision
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; strong ability to work across all key functions (sales, risk, product development, design, marketing, compliance, legal); “win-together mentality”
  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments
  • Demonstrable problem-solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
  • Excel experienced required such as
    • High attention to detail on complex formulas
    • Moderate VBA experience with willingness to learn and maintain
    • Ability to solve problems with excel formulas and creativity with a dedicated user experience lens
