Job purpose


The Systems Technician will be responsible for maintaining all systems, applications, and infrastructure that support shipping and receiving operations within our warehouse. This role ensures the seamless operation of technology that underpins our logistics processes, including inventory management, order processing, and transportation planning systems.


Duties and responsibilities


Systems Maintenance:



  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on shipping and receiving systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve technical issues with third party systems.


Application Support:



  • Provide technical support for warehouse management systems (WMS) and related applications.

  • Assist users with system access, configuration, and usability issues.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance application functionality and efficiency.


Infrastructure Management:



  • Maintain and support network infrastructure, including servers, routers, internet connections, phones and other equipment critical to warehouse operations.

  • Manage databases related to logistics and inventory, ensuring data integrity and security.

  • Conduct regular backup and recovery procedures to safeguard against data loss.


System Integration:



  • Ensure seamless integration between various logistics and warehouse systems.

  • Collaborate with IT development teams to support system enhancements and new deployments.

  • Conduct testing and validation of systems to ensure they meet operational requirements.



Documentation and Reporting:



  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures.

  • Generate and analyze system performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Provide regular updates to management on system health and project progress.



Compliance and Security:



  • Ensure systems comply with industry regulations and company policies.

  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access. Generate reports and metrics related to system performance, availability, and uptime.

  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential risks.



Requirements



  • Provide IT support coverage during business hours full time on site in the Douglas, GA Warehouse.

  • Weekend and holiday work may be required during high volume shipping times.

  • This role is full time on site.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

  • Proven experience as a Systems Technician in a warehouse environment or in a similar role, preferably in the fashion apparel industry.

  • Experience with managing and troubleshooting integrations of shipping software (UPS Worldship or similar) with WMS systems via API, ODBC, or other connection type.

  • Experience managing Microsoft Windows and Office 365.

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools is an advantage.

  • Ability to lift 50lbs
