The Position:
Client: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department Of Corrections (DOC)
Position Title: DOC Data Warehouse ETL BI API Developer SAR2 (749363)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Mechanicsburg, PA
Duration: Initial term through 06/30/2025 (+ Annual Renewal in 1-Year Terms)
Note: This position will be hybrid with one (1) day per week on-site. Candidates must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance (1-hour/50-miles) of Mechanicsburg, PA. This position requires an in-depth background check, including fingerprinting and requires successful results. Interviews process will be by phone first round, by Teams second round, and lastly in-person if needed.
DOC is in need of a Data Warehouse, ETL, Business Intelligence Developer and API Developer to perform the following duties;
- Optimizes, develops and maintains integration solutions using SQL Server SSIS and ETL Framework (BIDS) as necessary to connect legacy data stores, the data warehouse.
- Develops, maintains and optimizes al effort related to Data Warehouse (SSIS, Stored procedures, Views etc.).
- Creates data warehouse components using best practices methodologies.
- Builds and maintains through documentation of the data and how it is moved through layers.
- Perform data conversion from OLTP to DW using tools like SSIS/Data Factory.
- Identify and analyze data discrepancies and data quality issues and work to ensure data consistency and integrity.
- Ensure the stabilization and high performance of existing ETL processes.
- Troubleshoot and complex data related issues as well as provide support to production.
- Develop and deploy ETL job workflow with reliable error/exception handling and rollback.
- Must have experience working on SSRS.
- Power BI experience is preferred.
- Experience with Crystal Report will be beneficial.
- API Development experience is preferred.
- May be involved with manual testing.
- Perform other related duties as required.
The Skills and Experience:
- 4-Year College Degree
- 6+ Years: ETL experience (Including SSIS or other ETL tools)
- 6+ Years: Data Analytics experience
- 6+ Years: Data Warehouse knowledge and experience
- 4+ Years: MS SQL Reporting Server (SSRS)
- 3+ Years: Power BI
- 3+ Years: Web API development experience
