The Senior Director, Finance Operations serves as a data-driven transformational leader with a strong focus on leveraging analytics to develop actionable insights that drive operational performance improvements. The Senior Director, Finance Operations will be responsible for building strategy for and leading teams across Billing Operations, Collections, Procurement and Commissions, ensuring scalability to support the growth of the business. The Senior Director, Finance Operations attracts, retains and develops the teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance culture that results in functional mastery, employee engagement and retention.

Duties and Cor Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for Finance Operations function that builds scale and aligns with Paycor’s overall business objectives.
  • Create strategy along with leaders for Billing Operations, Collections, Procurement and Commissions functions for Paycor.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor the performance of the Finance Operations teams.
  • Build framework for and drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging analytics and financial insights to identify areas for operational improvement and optimization.
  • Drive influence across key operational stakeholders within Finance, Sales, Legal and Operations to ensure alignment, operational efficiency and effective communication.
  • Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, create and implement continuous improvement initiatives that optimize productivity and scalability; manage adoption of automation ensuring operational infrastructure supports growth and evolving business needs.
  • Partner with key stakeholder including Internal Audit and Accounting to ensure appropriate internal controls over financial reporting supporting processes.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to Finance leadership on financial operations, risk management and cost-savings opportunities.
  • Perform and support other special projects as needed, including acquisition integration.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in Finance Operations and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Foster a team environment focused on continued growth, learning, process improvement and development.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA, advanced degree or CPA preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, with at least 7 years in a progressive leadership role, preferably within a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to leverage data and analytics to drive actionable insights and operational improvements.
  • Experience managing Finance Operations teams including Billing Operations, Collections, Procurement and Commissions, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and automation initiatives, with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial systems, tools, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and proven ability to drive change and lead transformational initiatives within Finance Operations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Zuora, Xactly, and Concur.

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. In addition to base pay, $172,050 - $293,730 Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on the position.
