The KDP Coffee Productivity team is responsible for delivering productivity savings year over year across all of Coffee Supply Chain (Procurement, Logistics, and Manufacturing). This position will lead the manufacturing and indirect spend productivity programs, acting as a liaison between supply chain leadership and manufacturing resources, and is responsible for 3 main areas.

Productivity Ideation

  • Build a multiyear pipeline of productivity savings across Manufacturing and Indirect spend spaces. Work across all Coffee Manufacturing sites and squads to identify big ideas in each spend area, focusing on strategic, financially sensitive and high risk projects. This includes coordinating site visits and workshops in key manufacturing and distribution centers, scoping big ideas (feasibility, resources required, etc), and advocating for resources for execution
  • Build multiyear Indirect savings pipeline in partnership with Procurement team, including driving ideation sessions
  • Partner with CI team to define strategy as a vehicle to drive sustained year-over-year productivity pipeline
  • Partner upstream with commercial and sales team to influence new launches to not only minimize supply chain impact, but even drive savings

Productivity Portfolio Maintenance

  • Responsible for portfolio analysis across Manufacturing and Indirect projects, reporting, risk assessment, and tower performance.
  • Develop and lead ongoing squad strategy for Manufacturing, in partnership with CI, Productivity, and Operations Leadership, including coaching site and CI resources
  • Indirect leadership of manufacturing and squad teams; coach & develop on project execution, cross-site influence, and cross-functional partnership
  • Identify & close system gaps for the Indirect work stream, including creating squad structure needed and raising up any Planview gaps
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise productivity team to improve Governance structure, eliminating administrative waste while maintaining compliance. Ensure governance principles are adhered to for clear traceability to financial results. Work with project leaders to ensure we have updated forecasts, appropriate stage gates, alignment on calculation methodologies, and reporting period actuals.
  • Lead regular report-outs to key stakeholders throughout the organization. Support Ad-Hoc Requests for project updates, analysis, and executive level presentations.

Program Strategy & Execution

  • Identify and execute highest priority multisite manufacturing projects. Projects could include leading complex capital projects from ideation to proof of principal execution and business case creation, direct spend optimization, or other high priority strategic projects.
  • Merge the various Manufacturing projects and strategies, in alignment with CPE’s Network Optimization team and Hot Operations Leadership to maximize the productivity impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain management, or related field required; Master’s degree in business, operations research, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing operations, both tactical execution and strategic decisions
  • Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed and global organization, including strong partnerships with cross functional teams
  • Flexible and able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Detailed and deadline-orientated to meet regular and periodic needs of the business for accurate and timely information.
  • Strong capability to thoroughly review and sense-check results so that analysis is right the first time.
  • Must be able to create a professional presentation of results, including determining results-first or results-last approaches, ability to construct results that “tell a story”, and ability to lead an audience to the proper conclusions or decisions relevant to the situation.
  • Expert analytical capabilities including advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated competence with data
  • Ability to proactively engage with the business leaders and influence key decisions with facts.
