Programs Field Representative - H11A

Preferred Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
- Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered
- Assesses, reviews and analyzes Individual Plans of DDS service recipients for Self Directed Services (SDS) and other related records to ensure compliance with DHS & OHCA policy, federal and state waiver guidelines.
- Makes determinations regarding level of care and authorization of services including approval, reduction or denial of services.
- Issues written decisions and reports identifying deficiencies and requirements which must be addressed by the service recipient's personal support team to achieve compliance.
- This responsibility requires extensive knowledge of various federal, state and local programs, rules and regulations as decisions are complex and difficult
- Educates local offices regarding policy and procedure for service review and authorization.
- Consults State and Area Office Programs Managers regarding policy and procedure and makes recommendations regarding program improvements, training needs and performance issues identified in reviews
- Preference may be given to applicants who possess a bachelors degree in a human services field and/or one year of professional level experience
