OVERVIEW:

The merchandising assistant supports and works closely with the Associate Buyer in helping to develop strategies to grow and improve the business and efficiencies. The individual will work on a variety of merchandising tasks and will have frequent communication with corporate cross functional teams, warehouse partners as well as our stores. They will be focused on product selection to maintain competitive assortments whilst also overseeing the flow of merchandise to our locations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Partner with Buyer on the business and buying process
  • Assist with allocating product to stores based on individual store performance and the seasonal assortment strategies set
  • Coordinate product flow and pricing for outlets
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure orders are uploaded in a timely manner and delivered to stores
  • Execute reporting for categories
  • Provide weekly & monthly reporting and analysis
  • Monitor the progress of sales
  • Analyze selling trends, balance stock levels and conduct inter-store transfers to optimize sales
  • Process and monitor seasonal price changes
  • Create seasonal reserve books for in-store use and product knowledge
  • Provide support to retail network

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of merchandising experience in Retail, luxury preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

With respect to positions in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $65,000-$72,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
