Atelier Society is a VC-backed, female-founded fashion tech startup out of Yale University that revolutionizes how apparel fits upon delivery. We are a bespoke tailoring service for retailers to offer consumers tailoring before delivery for e-commerce and in-person through our integrated widget and body scanning technology. We address the multibillion-dollar apparel return crisis for retailers (~40% of all apparel purchased is returned and 25% of all returned apparel is thrown away) by ensuring that when apparel is delivered to customers' doors, it fits like a glove.

Position Overview: As CTO, you'll shape our technology strategy. You'll oversee the engineering team, our fit technology and 3D body scan integration, drive innovation, and ensure our tech aligns with business goals. This is a unique opportunity to impact the fashion tech landscape, the environment, and lead a talented team in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s technology vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives.

· Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of our fit feedback technology for apparel beyond just pants (we are currently 100% accurate for pants and will expand out shortly from there) and related applications.

· Product Innovation: Develop and manage the expansion of our technology to support the company's growth.

· Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and marketing teams to integrate technology into the overall customer experience.

· Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and tech professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

· Security Oversight: Ensure the highest standards of data security and compliance, particularly regarding customer data and privacy.

Qualifications:

· Experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.

· Prior experience in e-commerce software development. Experience with Shopify is a plus.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

· An interest in fashion or retail and a deep understanding of the industry’s challenges and opportunities.

· Experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
