  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  2. Click. then Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and Security.
  4. Click Site settings.
  5. Click JavaScript.
  6. Select Sites can use Javascript.

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Manage the Bureau of Parks & Conservation's geographic information system and produce maps and deliverables as requested
  • Contribute to GIS projects by building custom GIS tools and applying spatial analysis
  • Collaborate with operational staff and other divisions within the Bureau
  • Participate in periodic fieldwork across the state
  • Work independently on multiple simultaneous projects with various stakeholders

What Is Required (Qualifications)
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Geography, Earth Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in GIS
  • Proficiency with Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Strong skills in cartographic design and geospatial analysis methods
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Avenza MAPublisher
  • Familiarity with Arcade and/or JavaScript programming for GIS applications and API integration
