Job Description

  • Oversees and directs all aspects of project management. Interfaces with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling the project.
  • Actively develops and manages project schedules and prepares project status reports; works to ensure plans adhere to product requirements and schedules.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership:

  • Motivate the team to meet commitments to the established timing.
  • Build team technically and personally through mentoring and coaching.
  • Resolve conflicts between team members, departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiate with internal and external groups and vendors.
  • Ability to identify root cause of a problem, develop corrective action and lead team to resolution.

Development Team Management

  • Act as the central communication point for the team to ensure that each team member is aware of their deliverables and timing commitments at all times.
  • Provides team information needed to perform tasks.

Scope Management

  • Communicate the impact of scope changes to the stakeholders in a timely manner in terms of cost, timing, product, quality of execution and impact on the project.
  • Differentiate scope changes from engineering changes.
  • Manage the risk of scope changes and keep management informed of change and effect on the project.

Timing

  • Ability to create work breakdown structure with milestones/deliverables used as the foundation.
  • Program timeline is utilized to clearly communicate deliverables and due dates.
  • Create issue lists that are clear and concise with due dates and deliverables.

Job Qualifications

  • PMP certification desired
  • Three (3) years prior project/program management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product development process
  • Working knowledge of Program Management process and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and influence others
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong conflict management and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
