Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Technical Project Manager with 10-15 years of experience to oversee the operations and support teams for a large cloud-based application. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, particularly in Java-based applications and cloud platforms, with the ability to manage incidents, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with critical metrics. This role involves a blend of technical oversight and project management, and experience in customer-facing roles is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations & Support Management: Oversee the operations and support of a large cloud-based application.
  • Incident Management: Own and manage major incidents in production and lower environments.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze, identify, and resolve application/infrastructure issues.
  • Telemetry & Monitoring: Utilize tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, CloudWatch for infrastructure analysis.
  • Application Support: Manage application support in Java, Microservices, REST APIs, and cloud environments.
  • E-Commerce Expertise: Experience with platforms such as Elasticpath or other e-commerce infrastructure is preferred.
  • Metrics Compliance: Track and ensure adherence to SLA, MTTR, MTTA, MTBF for the application.
  • Process Improvements: Identify areas for improvement and drive automation and transformation initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of application support activities within defined SLAs.
  • Learning & Adaptation: Stay updated with new technologies and adapt them as needed for project success.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Operations & Application Support Project Management: 5+ years of experience in managing application support and operations for cloud-based applications.
  • Java Development Experience: Previous experience as a Java developer is required, transitioning to a Technical Project Management role.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud and expertise in infrastructure monitoring and analysis.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading teams and driving technical and managerial initiatives.
  • Customer Management: Strong customer management skills, particularly in understanding and addressing technical requirements and issues.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microservices, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, and telemetry tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Elasticpath or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Prior experience with consulting companies such as TCS, Infosys, or Cognizant.
  • Previous experience working with UST Global is a plus.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience in managing distributed teams across onshore and offshore locations.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
  • A track record of driving automation and process improvements.
Certifications:
  • None required, though relevant cloud or project management certifications are a plus.
