We are Systematix and we are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer/Lead, to work with our clients expert IT Team across the world. You d be working with the Global IT Infrastructure Network and Hosting team, responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, and monitoring of IT on-premises and cloud infrastructure including disaster recovery planning and security compliance; assist in escalated incidents, problems, request management and project implementation. This is a contract-to-hire role, starting at 3 months and would move to permanent, Lead position quickly; 100% on-site initially, which could go Hybrid later on.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Infrastructure Engineer Candidate is responsible for the following:

Discover and analyze regional business requirements.

Generate, Deploy, and Integrate solutions using standard IT tools and processes.

Provide complex level 3 and 4 engineering support of deployed environment.

Engineer and perform major Infrastructure migrations.

Advance support and maintain on-premises Infrastructure server and Azure cloud hosting.

Keep detailed and accurate technical documentation

Provide updates to Regional Business and IT Team on Infrastructure roadmaps

Work and Participate with Regional IT Team to Support the Regional Business

Work without Direct Oversight

Core responsibilities include:

Global Infrastructure Design and Architecture

Global Infrastructure Server and Hosting Migrations

Build and Automation of Global Infrastructure Server and Hosting

Global Infrastructure Monitoring and Optimization

Incident Resolution, Patching, and Performance Tuning

Effective and Secure Infrastructure Management

Routine Infrastructure cost and efficiency analysis and enhancements

Other duties as requested by Manager

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

2-3+ years of Data Center and Azure Cloud Infrastructure experience

5+ years of IT Infrastructure Servers & Network support experience

5+ years of Windows-Microsoft Enterprise Stack (Administration, AD, ADFS, DFS, GPO, SCCM)

3+ years of experience in Azure Cloud, Hyper-V or VMware Infrastructure

Bachelor s degree in IT computer science, or similar related IT industry experience

Preferred Industry Certifications - CompTIA; Microsoft, Cisco, DELL, etc.

Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2019, 2022)

Functional knowledge of LAN/WAN and tiered application architecture

Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills

Ability and willingness to travel, as required

PREFERRED WORKING EXPERIENCE:

Microsoft Certifications: MCSA, MCSE, MCP

Azure Certifications, e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Engineer, or Solutions Architect Expert

Cisco Networking Knowledge and Support

Z-Scaler ZPA Knowledge and Support

Project Management experience

Experience in Database Technologies (MS SQL, Oracle, RDS)

Strong Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V Infrastructure)

some experience configuring Palo Alto, Silver Peak, Cisco, Meraki networking devices
