We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Capabilities Management & Governance Sr. Manager of enterprise Marketing capabilities to help lead to develop a standard and disciplined process to managing capability governance contract/vendor management, approval processes, technology utilization/adoption, financial management of capabilities and roadmap planning. The role requires a holistic understanding of managing a capability portfolio, ability to drive process and governance best practices, and ability to lead enterprise initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams to ensure team members are trained and part of standard governance practices that lead to enhancing our marketing capabilities and delivering measurable results. Standard and disciplined process to managing capability governance including contracts/vendors, approval process, technology utilization, financial management, roadmap, and operating model.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive Enterprise Marketing Capabilities playbook governance between Marketing and Tech
  • Implement and manage a standard governance process of all renewals and new for managing the pipeline including management of the inventory, documentation, and repository of technologies / vendor contracts
  • Manage training and governance of the process across Marketing & Customer Operations
  • Financial management and documentation of allocation and chargebacks. Manage to budget, drive vendor consolidation, and identify & track savings
  • Drive and manage technology and capability utilization including usage of licenses
  • Drive standard capability roadmap, prioritization, and operating model
  • Manage the capability roadmap of initiatives and enhancements and manage the backlog
  • Ensure standard and consistent intake process for capability requests including SLAs, issues, and quality
  • Develop and manage standard capability reporting including productivity and capacity, quality, and issues to guide business priority decisions and visibility

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in a Marketing Operations or Marketing Technical environment supporting multiple campaign channels:
    • Omni Channel/Journey Orchestra
    • Content Storage and management
    • Digital for direct to consumer and/or business-to-business
  • Understanding of marketing technology platforms:
    • Adobe
    • Marketing automation
    • Analytics
    • Content management systems
  • Demonstrated solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated exceptional Microsoft suite skills
  • Proven ability to create executive level presentations


Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP certification
  • Product or capability ownership experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
