Communication Specialist

The Communication Specialist will engage in a variety of internal and external communication projects to support organization-wide programs and initiatives. This role is responsible for developing consistent and clear messaging for diverse audiences, working collaboratively with department leadership and teams to enhance communication strategies and delivery.

This is a remote position.

Communication Specialist Responsibilities

Develop and implement communication programs that align with organizational goals and regional messaging.

Provide strategic communication counsel to ensure consistent messaging across all levels of the organization.

Collaborate with marketing and communication leadership to coordinate messaging and positioning across various audiences.

Support the assembly and delivery of information to caregivers and other stakeholders, continually monitoring and improving communication effectiveness.

Manage budget and invoice tracking to ensure alignment with financial goals.

Communication Specialist Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in communication, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Proven ability to create strong business relationships within a matrixed organization.

Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Experience working in geographically dispersed teams and organizations.

Knowledge of integrated healthcare and communication practices.

Strong interpersonal skills to develop strategic relationships at both organizational and regional levels.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse marketing and communication team.

Flexibility and agility in managing multiple high-level projects and urgent tasks.

Capacity to craft impactful messaging that supports brand positioning.

Preferred

Previous experience in healthcare communication.

Familiarity with current trends in healthcare communication and marketing strategies.

Compensation: $28-$44/hr. (DOE)
