Position Overview:

As the Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s information technology and digital infrastructure. You will lead the development and implementation of IT strategies that align with the company’s business goals, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organization. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in IT management, particularly within the healthcare industry, and the ability to manage complex technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company’s business objectives and drives digital transformation across healthcare operations.
  • Oversee the management of the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and compliant with healthcare industry regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of technology solutions that improve patient care, enhance operational efficiency, and support the delivery of healthcare services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, administrative, and financial departments, to identify technology needs and develop solutions that drive business performance.
  • Ensure the effective management of IT resources, including budgeting, staffing, and vendor relationships, to maximize value and return on investment.
  • Drive innovation by staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on healthcare services.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect the company’s digital assets, patient data, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Oversee the management of data analytics and business intelligence functions, ensuring the company leverages data-driven insights to support decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Communicate IT strategies, initiatives, and performance to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of leading digital transformation and IT strategy in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and the role of technology in improving patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, telemedicine, and other healthcare-specific technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance in the healthcare sector.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support the company’s operations and IT initiatives.
