Responsibilities:
  • We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer - Azure (IT Engineer 4) in the Cloud Data Engineering/Revenue Management (CDRM) team. CDRM is responsible for the Development and Operations of Revenue Management solutions on the Enterprise Data Lake. This is a ground floor opportunity to make an impact on the way Enterprise Mobility builds Revenue Management solutions that are a fit for purpose use of the Enterprise Data Lake. On this team you will be designing technical solutions that provide daily insights to the competitive landscape of our Rental Products for our Revenue Managers. You will be defining technical direction and solution roadmaps for new applications in the Revenue Management domain. You will be providing technical leadership for a team of engineers currently delivering new Data APIs, Structures, and Solutions.

This individual will have strong networking and collaboration skills that enable partnerships across a wide variety of stakeholders including Data & Analytics, Data Science, Product, and IT Solution teams. Strong relationship with these teams will enable the cross-team collaboration necessary to build Certified Data Assets and other key Data Strategy components supporting our solution needs. Finally, the individual in this role is expected to keep an eye on the technical horizon for new solutions and capabilities that could increase the value of our applications to our stakeholders.

As part of the One Revenue Management program, this IT Engineer 4 position will support the Front-Page News Project and related deliverables. As the IT Engineer 4, you will help translate business requirements into solutions that align with the overall Data Strategy vision while meeting the needs of our Revenue Management partners. You will be the Revenue Management domain Data Engineering subject matter expert (SME) to be consulted by Data & Analytics, Data Governance, as well as other EM engineers, and Leadership, on the use of Data Assets to meet business needs. This individual will be responsible for ensuring our solutions are designed with operational excellence in mind - solutions will be performance tuned to meet customers' expectations with capabilities to scale with the gravity of the data being processed. This position will require the individual to stay informed of emerging capabilities, technologies, as well as their potential impact to the solutions we support, standards, and "best practices". You will be responsible for defining technical roadmaps and strategies to maintain alignment across IT and our business customers. It is critical that this IT Engineer 4 takes responsibility for the environment, ensures cloud resources are optimized, applies automation where applicable, and measures adherence to SLAs.
  • Maintains effective relationships with all levels of company management, internal customers, and data stewards that promotes understanding and produces results for all stakeholders.
  • Leads estimating efforts in project planning; provides technical leadership to project teams and/or leads project teams within own area/department and across functional teams.
  • Takes an active role in applying advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to establish ongoing direction, specification, design, development and implementation of technology vision and strategy.
  • Accurately scopes deliverables including technical dependencies, risks, and issues to ensure seamless delivery, technology effectiveness and security.
  • Provides guidance and oversight on technical matters within a solution to ensure that the technologies are secure, interoperate and connect appropriately and support company vision and strategy.
  • Collaborates with other Architects, Engineers, & Office of Architecture on solutions to improve Revenue Management Domain Solutions, including the overall quality and cost optimizations therein.
  • Establish and/or revise, monitor and establish service level agreements (SLAs) to best support our client Solutions.
  • Listens to and evaluates customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations; identifies opportunities for improvement; ensures others are aligned with customer expectations and performance metrics.
  • Actively leads, coaches, mentors, and teaches other engineers; using influence, expertise, and leadership skills to support other teams as they implement data governance solutions.
  • Protect our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions; ensures security policy and procedure requirements are met; continuously identifies opportunities for improving security and implements strategies to improve our security posture.
  • Contributes to the development of strategic planning for the department and communicates clear, concise strategic vision.
Qualifications:Required:
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 8+ Years of related experience and providing technical guidance for a solution
  • Experience leading other technical leaders
  • Experience working with Kong and the API office building new solutions
  • Experience administering Cloud Data Resources (including, but not limited to: Azure Data Factory, DevOps, EventHub, Function Apps, and other Azure technologies)
  • Experience with cloud data management tools (including, but not limited to: Databricks)
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and Scala
  • Experience building Data APIs
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred


Pay Range: $165000 - $175000
  • The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
