Incident Forensics Specialist

M9 Solutions is seeking an Incident Forensics Specialist to workhybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Germantown, MD.An active Top Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform incident response for cyber security incidents.
• Make preparations to effectively handle cyber incidents.
• Act as an escalation point to support security monitoring activities.
• Collect and analyze pertinent data to support security investigations.
• Work with System Owners and administrators to effectively contain cyber incidents, eradicate threats, and recover from cyber incidents.
• Coordinate and track ongoing remediation efforts with System Owners and offices.
• Develop, update, communicate, and retain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate with administrators and technical staff to contain cyber incidents.
• Perform Digital Media Analysis.
• Perform Quality Assurance of incident response analysis and work products.
• Monitor the incident queue and work with responders to regularly update all active cases.
• Develop After Action Reports.
• Develop, capture, and deliver summary metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Ability to work on-site 3 days per week in Germantown, MD.
• 3+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of experience with an associate's degree.
• Experience with cyber security operations.
• Experience with infrastructure security management

• M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

$60,000 - $180,000 USD
