About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the largest credit unions in the United States, seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Tysons Corner, VA. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence at least four days per week. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of Agile expertise, a strong project management background, and experience in financial services to drive successful delivery and team transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage Agile teams, ensuring effective collaboration, delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, forecasts, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Utilize Jira to manage project backlogs, track progress, and optimize team workflows.
  • Coach and mentor teams through Agile transitions, fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, providing transparency into project status, risks, and roadblocks.
  • Shape and transform project teams to adapt to changing environments and requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of solid experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Proven track record of working in financial services, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong expertise in Jira for project tracking and team management.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape and transform teams for optimal performance and continuous delivery.
  • Extensive project management experience, including handling budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
  • Must be able to work onsite 4+ days per week in Tysons Corner, VA.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in Credit Unions or Banking.
  • Experience leading teams through Agile transitions or providing Agile coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, knowing when to push or remain flexible regarding team processes and norms.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • Experience in back office operations (underwriting, loan servicing, credit policy, collections).
  • Expertise in PI (Program Increment) Planning.
  • Experience in Digital or Member-Facing platforms.
