Job Summary:
A highly regarded US manufacturer of world-class components for the electrical industry is looking for a Business Analyst at our Cincinnati HQ. Under the supervision of the IT Director, the Analyst will work with all functional leads to develop data models and interpretations as well as the formation of templates and tools that identify the levers to move the business forward. We are seeking a skilled and motivated BI Developer to join our team. The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. This role will require the ability to analyze data, develop dashboards and reports, and work closely with key stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights that support business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization tools, and a deep understanding of database systems and data modeling techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Create, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business operations
- Data Analysis: Work with business stakeholders to identify and analyze their data needs and provide insights through detailed reports and presentations
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Performance Optimization: Continuously improve performance of BI tools and reports to ensure they meet business requirements efficiently
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all BI processes, solutions, and data models
- Training & Support: Provide ongoing support and training to end-users, ensuring they understand how to use BI tools effectively
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in BI development or a similar role
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
- Experience with data warehousing concepts
- Strong understanding of database management systems
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization best practices
- Familiarity and experience with Excel, Access, VBA, Power BI, and SQL
- Ability to work with APIs and integrate data from various sources
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical terms into business insights
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
