Security Architect

Amentum is now hiring for several Security Architect (All Levels) - CSIA positions in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:

• Plans, researches, designs, develops, runs tests, and implements security systems within an organization's IT network.
• Reviews current system security measures, anticipates possible security threats, identifies areas of weakness in a network system, responds promptly and effectively to possible breaches of security, and recommends and implements enhancements.
• Develops, reviews, and approves the installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related network devices.
• Utilizes complete understanding of complex IT systems, information security, and IT risk assessment; and keeps current with the latest security standards, systems, protocols, and authentication along with best practice security products.
• Tests the final security system and develops project timelines for ongoing system updates and upgrades.
• Conducts regular system tests and ensures continuous monitoring of network security.
• Ensures all personnel have access to the IT system according to need and role.
• Establishes disaster recovery procedures, conducts breach of security drills, responds to and provides post-event analyses of all security incidents.
• Promotes a culture of security awareness and arranges continuing education of personnel to ensure security policies are adhered to at all times.
• Has experience in reviewing security plans, processes, and strategies to identify areas for improvement or update.
• Has an understanding of security regulations, and directives for organizational and agency level requirements.
• Has experience in designing and implementing security requirements into products and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline
• 1-10+ years of experience
• 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: ship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.

Compensation:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
