The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Marketing Coordinator for its Los Angeles office. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in planning, executing, and managing marketing and promotional activities, working for and closely with Purple Media, the marketing agency of TTA LA. This position reports to Purple Media’s Directors, as well as working closely with the TTA team and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Execution:

  • Manage various marketing promotion projects, ensuring smooth execution from planning through to completion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver on project goals.

Event Management:

  • Coordinate on-site promotional and publicity events, which may occur during holidays or non-working hours.
  • Support business trips and other travel-related logistics as needed.

Training & Education:

  • Organize and conduct training sessions for travel operators, educating them on Taiwan tourism offerings and services.

Travel Consultation:

  • Provide expert travel consultation services about Taiwan to consumers and partners, enhancing their knowledge and experience of the destination.

Ad Hoc Assignments:

  • Support additional projects and tasks as assigned by Purple Media or the TTA team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing coordination or related roles, preferably within the travel or tourism industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as required by the nature of the role.
  • Knowledge of Taiwan’s tourism industry is highly preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Fluent proficiency in English is a must, while written Chinese and spoken Mandarin skills are also preferable.
