Structural Engineer

PVE, LLC is seeking a full-time licensed, Structural Engineer (PE) work on building envelope consulting projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate and coordinate with project team members on all phases of the building envelope inspection process and subsequent remediation.
• Prepare analysis, design, and technical reports for a variety of projects associated with building structures.
• Perform analysis and design for structural aspects of projects and perform quality control of calculations and plan sheets and specifications (construction documents).
• Coordinate structural designs with other disciplines such as architectural, civil, geotechnical and mechanical / plumbing.
• Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities, obtaining field dimensions, or review as-built conditions within existing structures, and prepare written reports.
• Support marketing, technical proposal preparation and business development efforts.
• Meet regularly with in-house engineering and drafting staff to review drawing sets.
• Assist clients and construction personal with unforeseen conditions, detail or dimension questions, building department comments, and similar.

Requirements: Degree from an accredited institution in Civil Engineering or similar field of study. 3+ years of experience working on building facade projects, investigation, inspection and remedial design.
