Engineering Intern
Your Role
The Engineering Intern will operate in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment which requires flexibility, adaptability, initiative as well as excellent organization and problem-solving skills. This position will be located in Troy, MI.
Key job responsibilities for this role include:
Support proliferation of core infrastructure systems used for the design / development of electrified products and electrical system solutions for North American OEM's
Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional team to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and delivery high quality KPI's metrics that helps in decision making of product.
Coordinate design and design change activities for various electrified vehicle customers
Exploit Aptiv product differentiators that provides a competitive advantage (technology, cost, quality, services)
Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost, quality improvement or design robustness
Work with Aptiv sales and Business Lines to ensure business objectives are met
Create and deliver technically strong customer presentations
Support, and work closely, with Aptiv Electrification teams in other regions
Available to monitor and participate in harness and customer launch activities
Experience & Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably Junior standing Electrical or Mechanical
1+ years' experience in a team environment
Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills - written and verbal
Multi-tasking team player with a hands-on approach
Nice to have:
Strong understanding of RCL circuits
Exposure to manufacturing environment
CAD experience
Software development skills in Python, Java, Web Development, C++.
Power BI data visualization
