According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $96,000 and $150,000 annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Use electromagnetic simulation software to model new concepts, design new connectors cable assemblies, and evaluate connectors from DC to 110GHz+.
- Implore expertise in all things related to signal integrity design, optimization, validation, and qualification of RF, microwave, and digital interconnects.
- Review drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, function, and conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications; identify errors, omissions, and other deficiencies; direct revisions and improvements to engineers or designers.
- When necessary, lead root cause analyses of Signal Integrity performance misses and assist in troubleshooting measurements.
- Mentor and educate team members on industry trends, SI theory, and best practices across the design process.
- Outline and implement internal processes to better serve internal and external priorities, focusing on continuously improving workflows and communication platforms for customer satisfaction.
- Analyze and evaluate parametric models for best impedance, altering and updating geometries and dK values to provide the best output.
- Work with existing customer PCB stack-ups to optimize for best performance during CIT product implementation.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in troubleshooting exercises.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/sciences with 10+ years of experience in a similar engineering role, broad industry-related experience, and 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the design of high-speed digital, RF, or microwave connectors and interconnects.
- 5+ years in PCB design optimization and simulation. Focus on connector launch, preferred.
- Experience using commercial 3D field solvers (i.e., Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Studio Suite, Cadence Clarity) and implementing electromagnetic principles to provide desired results.
- Familiarity with production connector manufacturing methods & processes preferred.
- Experience with signal integrity measurements, troubleshooting, and debugging using VNA, TDR, Oscilloscopes, pattern generators, error detectors, and similar measurement equipment. Familiarity with best practices for testing and calibration.
- Deep Knowledge of frequency and time-domain components related to circuit characterization.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Conversational in any other language is a plus.
JOB SKILLS
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Proficient in HFSS or CST Microwave, as well as PLTS, ADS, and H-spice. Hold Design Reviews, create reports, and maintain a history file.
- Expert in adherence to the NPI process and system.
- Expert in Signal Integrity Terms and general design requirements for Interconnect. Experience in product package/board design and analysis, PI/SI methodology development, and lab correlation/validation of the simulation results.
- Expert in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line theory.
- Familiarity with Agilent Vector Network Analyzer, Sampling Oscilloscope, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, CST Microwave Suite or HFSS, and Altium Designer.
- Familiarity with high-speed electrical serial interface buses: PCI Express, Serial RapidIO, USB, Fibre Channel, SATA, and Ethernet. Experience with High-speed PCB design.
- Familiar with lab equipment, such as VNA /PNA, TDR, real-time scope, and spectrum analyzer.
- Thorough understanding of electrical components, processes, equipment, standards, and high-speed cable assembly design terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, organization, and leadership skills.
- Prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced and responsive environment.
- Able to read and interpret requirement documentation from various customers.
