Key Responsibilities

  • Epic Revenue Cycle Analysis and Design: Involves designing, building, validating, and maintaining Epic applications. This includes thoroughly documenting user workflows and decisions.
  • Problem Resolution: Offers high-level customer service and works with peers to resolve system issues, escalating when necessary. Collaborates with Epic Vendor support.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Demonstrates self-motivation and leadership in championing the system and improving processes. Supports other staff as needed and contributes to special projects.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Adheres to HIPAA regulations, organizational policies, and safety protocols, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Professional Development: Participates in performance evaluations, professional development, and various department programs.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields like Computer Science, Health Care Administration, or Business, with 3 years of related IT experience.
    • OR Associate degree with 4 years of related experience.
    • OR 5 years of relevant experience in IT or related fields.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience in implementing Revenue Cycle Systems (Cadence, Prelude, Professional Billing) or business roles like Medical Services Coordinator, Coder, or Medical Claims Specialist.
  • Certification:
    • Must achieve Epic Application Certification(s) within six months of employment.
Skills

  • Ability to work autonomously, handle multiple tasks, and provide critical analysis.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to work with various stakeholders (patients, healthcare teams, etc.).
  • Adaptability to specialized groups and emergency situations, along with solid organizational and prioritization abilities.
