Our Opportunity
The selected individual will generate programs and digital models in CAD/CAM based on blue print specifications to manufacture components, products and systems. Maintain and update set up instructions in accordance with program requirements. Specific duties below:
- Create programming for components, assemblies, and tooling to maximize manufacturing processes.
- Research and resolve any problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
- Analyze technology trends with respect to CAD/CAM applications. Analyze drawings, models, etc. to determine method of manufacturing.
- Create CNC programs and run books (setup instructions) per planned methods for various machine tools and maintain source code and models.
- Convert customers data format to revision/update by programming department.
- Assist Quality Department with parts out of tolerance conditions to find cause and corrective action.
- Provide input into cutter selection, feeds and speeds.
- Advise management of new developments, which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies, which may improve operations, and develop recommendations accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Qualified individuals will have a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must also be able to read blue prints.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Proficient using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficient writing CNC programs and utilizing various CAD/CAM software such as Catia, Unigraphics.
- Proficient in Vericut using machine simulation for G-Code verification.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to finer, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
