Job Duties

• Work closely with Business Analysts and Data Analysts in small teams to extract technical and functional information from subject matter experts (SMEs) within the organization.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of applications, systems, processes, and functional layers for a variety of mainframe and non-mainframe applications, with a strong focus on Hogan systems.
• Organize and structure content in a repository to ensure easy access and searchability for future use.
• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation, adhering to defined methodologies (Define, Collect, Organize, Validate/Iterate).
• Create technical documentation that clearly explains processes, without needing to capture end-to-end data flows or attribute-level details.
• Ensure all documentation meets the client's technical and formatting standards.
• Review and update documentation throughout the project to reflect changes or corrections as required.

Required

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Technical Writer, preferably in IT or financial services sectors.
• strong technical understanding of mainframe applications, specifically Hogan systems, is a significant advantage.
• Ability to explain complex technical processes and systems in clear, user-friendly language.
• strong organizational and writing skills, with a proven track record of producing accurate and accessible technical documentation.
• Experience with metadata creation and management.
• Familiarity with technical documentation tools and content management systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience in large-scale knowledge management initiatives is a plus.

Desired

• Experience working in large enterprises, preferably in financial services or banking.
• Prior exposure to application-level documentation, focusing on product, functional, non-functional, infrastructure, and platform support layers.
