Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy and maintain Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases, to support the organization s business needs.
  • Azure Landing Zones: Implement and configure Azure Landing Zones following best practices and organizational standards.
  • Governance and Security: Assist in creating and managing enterprise governance using Azure Blueprints, Management Groups, and subscription policies. Ensure compliance with security guidelines and support identity and access management.
  • Networking and VNets: Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) to optimize performance and secure communication between resources.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Use Azure Monitor to keep track of system performance, health, and vulnerabilities. Create alerts and dashboards for proactive monitoring and incident response.
  • Resource Tagging and Cost Management: Apply Azure Resource Tagging for resource management and collaborate with teams on Azure Cost Management to optimize spending.
  • Deployment and Support: Support enterprise deployment strategies, focusing on consistency, scalability, and availability of cloud resources.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, focusing on compute, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Familiarity with implementing Azure Landing Zones, Azure Blueprints, and geo-replication.
  • Understanding of Azure security best practices, identity, and access management.
  • Experience designing and maintaining Azure VNets and working with Management Groups and Azure Policies.
  • Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Azure Resource Tagging, and Azure Cost Management.
  • Experience in enterprise deployments and supporting cloud environments.
  • Core Azure Services:
    • Azure Compute Services: Includes Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Batch.
    • Azure Storage Services: Covers services like Azure Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure Queue, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
    • Azure Networking: Involves working with Virtual Networks (VNets), Azure ExpressRoute, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure DNS.
    • Azure Databases: Knowledge of SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Azure Database for MySQL/PostgreSQL/MariaDB.
    • Infrastructure and Management:
      • Azure Landing Zones: Utilizing and implementing pre-defined best practices and templates for deploying Azure environments.
      • Azure Resource Manager (ARM): Creating and managing Azure resources through ARM templates for infrastructure as code (IaC).
      • Azure Blueprints: Automating deployment of policies, resource templates, and governance structures.
      • Azure Policy and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Implementing compliance and identity management across resources.
    • Security and Governance:
      • Azure Security Center: Monitoring the overall security posture, assessing vulnerabilities, and managing security policies.
      • Azure Key Vault: For secure storage and access to API keys, passwords, and other sensitive data.
      • Azure Active Directory (Azure AD): For identity and access management, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
      • Management Groups: For managing policies and resources across multiple Azure subscriptions.
    • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Azure Monitor: Tracking performance, health, and availability of services. Also includes tools like Log Analytics, Azure Application Insights, and Network Watcher.
    • Azure Automation: Automating tasks such as starting and stopping VMs, managing patches, and ensuring compliance.
    • Azure Cost Management + Billing: For resource tagging, tracking costs, and generating detailed spending reports.
    • Development and Deployment Tools:
      • Azure DevOps: Setting up CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployments and manage source control with Git.
      • Terraform or Bicep: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to define and manage Azure resources.
      • PowerShell/CLI: Using Azure PowerShell or Azure CLI for script-based management and automation.
    • Networking and Security Configuration:
