You will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirement for a large-scale modernization project.

Education:
The likely salary range for this position is $100,175 - $135,531. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

You will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirement for a large-scale modernization project.
HOW SENIOR BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Work closely with key stakeholders to drive system modernization efforts ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and objectives.
- Elicits; gathers; documents; and analyzes business and technical requirements and process workflows.
- Creates and updates documentation (e.g., requirements analysis; use cases; user stories; and level of effort/resource estimates) for existing and new complex computer systems.
- Analyzes detailed system factors; including input/output requirements; information flow; hardware/software requirements; and reliability characteristics.
- Create complex test case scenarios to be used in functional testing, regression testing; conduct/monitor/oversee/document the testing of business applications to verify that all client requirements are incorporated into the system design.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred but not required
- 10+ years of experience with analyzing business requirements and developing business requirements
- Demonstrated experience with at least one enterprise software development project within the past three years
- Strong analysis, problem-solving experience (requirements analysis, documentation, user stories), ability to gather and analyze information skillfully
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience and comfortable in a project start-up environment
- Thorough understanding of and experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodology
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role at the US Postal Service is highly desired
- Demonstated experience serving in a similar role on a team with for a system upgrade or large-scale IT modernization projects
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
- This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
