Deliver accurate and competitive cost estimates that ensure project profitability and foster strong, long-term client relationships.

What you ll get to do

• Make strategic bidding decisions with Project Managers on projects up to $40M and 4-years long, based on team capacity and project goals.
• Deliver accurate and competitive estimates that position us to win complex sitework projects while maintaining profitability.
• Prepare efficient and timely bids that meet client needs and project deadlines for CTDOT, MADOT, municipal, and private civil/utility projects.
• Foster strong client relationships through collaborative project budgeting and execution.
• Drive cost savings by applying value engineering strategies that enhance project efficiency.
• Ensure projects are executed profitably by aligning cost expectations with financial goals.
• Build lasting client partnerships through quality work, repeat business and trusting relationships.

About you

• You have 5+ years of site development, utility or heavy highway Estimating experience
• People are impressed by how easily you adapt, no matter what s thrown your way. You ve got this way of staying flexible and keeping things moving smoothly with clients, even when things get tough. It s a real gift.
• Your proficiency with estimating software enables you to stay totally organized, even in the midst of chaos (HCSS, Procrontractor, Agtek, or similar).

Even better, but not required if

• You have experience with Federal Contracting - working with Eversource, Amtrak, National Grid, CNG, Aquarion, CT Water, MDC, and/or RWA

• Medical Coverage: After 90 days, you'll be eligible for insurance, with the company covering 60% of the lowest coverage for your age bracket.

• Typical hours: 7am - 3:30pm M-F
• Work location: In office, Ellington, CT
• Seasonality: The Estimator role is year-round through the winters
