What does a successful Senior Go Release Engineer do at Fiserv?

As part of our engineering team, you will play a vital role to manage the release processes and ensure the successful delivery of our financial technology products.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, QA, and Operations, to plan and coordinate release schedules
- Manage the end-to-end release process from development, testing, deployment, to post-release monitoring
- Automate and streamline release processes to improve efficiency and minimize risks
- Develop and maintain release documentation: release notes, deployment guides, and troubleshooting guides
- Monitor release metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
- Work closely with development teams to understand and resolve any release-related issues or challenges
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in release management and delivery software engineering
- 6+ years of experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- 3+ years of experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- 3+ years of experience with the Golang software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies
- 3+ years of experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, and GitLab CI
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
