Environmental Project Manager

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Project Manager to support our environmental consulting projects in the oil and gas sector in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental stewardship, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (ECMC), and the ability to assist in managing multiple projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of environmental remediation projects in the oil and gas industry, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and state regulations.
• Oversee the completion of site assessments, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory compliance evaluations to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, scientists, and field personnel to develop and implement project plans.
• Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory forms in accordance with applicable state and local regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or deviations from project plans, and propose solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and facilitate approvals.
  
  

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to oil and gas operations (e.g., ECMC, CO DWR, CDPHE).
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
• Implement successful leadership skills to coach, problem solve, and lead a large diverse team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  
  

Work Environment

• This role operates in a fast-paced office environment but requires occasional fieldwork in various weather conditions for project oversight.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and attend client meetings as needed.
  
  

Mix of field and office work with report writing and project management. About 70 people in Denver, moving to a larger office in Wheat Ridge this year.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime required.
  
  

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or related field.
  
  

Preferred Education & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on the oil and gas industry preferred.
