This is an office/hybrid position based out of our Louisville, KY office.

What the Role Is

The Finance Operations Analyst will contribute to the analysis and reporting function for multiple Heaven Hill sites including Lethbridge, Canada, Austin, TX and Samson & Surrey Operations departments, as well as other manufacturing locations as assigned. This position will maintain the department s Key Performance Indicators and budgets, analyzing and communicating performance and making recommendations to help achieve the department s goals.

The Finance Operations Analyst delivers effective results by providing useful data and recommendations for the implementation of process improvements as well as manufacturing support systems.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Track, maintain, analyze, and communicate results versus Key Performance Indicators
  • Aggregate data for the development and tracking of operating budgets, as well as recurring budget-to-actual review process
  • Perform work on complex and non-routine projects across the company s plant operations infrastructure in areas such as cost savings, new capital analysis, and plant productivity
  • Prepare annual operating budgets for assigned sites.
  • Conduct analysis on various projects and programs including reliability, productivity, outsourcing, and cost savings initiatives
  • Lead monthly financial reviews designed to impact future operational performance and close gaps to the annual operating plan
  • Streamline, standardize and simplify operational reporting across locations
  • Collect, analyze, and make recommendations on operational data
  • Responsible for query data repositories, generate periodic reports, as well as devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources.
  • Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business and financial data for review by executives, managers, and other stakeholders
  • Create tools or systems to support the operations group, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs
  • Integrate current business information and/or trend data to support recommendations for action
  • Conduct meetings with managers to gather, understand, and document data
  • Perform special projects requiring complex data analysis and reporting
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees through the commitment to company safety policies and procedures

Who You Are

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum two years experience in financial or operational analysis role, preferably in CPG or manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical aptitude, with experience in query data repositories and generating financial reporting
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and reporting of financial data
  • Ability to synthesize and comprehend large quantities of data
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office tools and products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed individual

Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and other systems such as Access and ERP Systems
  • Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry

Physical Requirements

While performing duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand and fingers to handle or feel objects, use of computer, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
