PROCUREMENT ANALYST
POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Analyst will be pivotal in supporting the procurement team by analyzing internal and external data, supporting cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing internal processes. This role will involve developing and reporting functional and supplier metrics and providing timely and accurate reporting.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Identification and ongoing update of all data sources for strategic sourcing categories, including spend information, external market analysis and product specifications.
- Development and maintenance of relevant data storage and reporting tools, such as databases, spreadsheets, web-enabled content management tools.
- Maintenance, improvement and reporting of procurements project savings tracker.
- Development and maintenance of relevant data extract processes and Programs for updating data storage and reporting tools.
- Develop and maintain regular procurement performance reports.
Supplier and Category Management:
- Support sourcing project teams in the design and implementation of category strategies including the analysis of complex RFx s
- Support the negotiation of contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in managing supplier relationships and maintain supplier data, including pricing, contracts, and performance metrics.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze current P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes and suggest improvements for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in identifying implementing new P2P processes and tools.
KEY SKILL s (Must have):
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and trends to identify potential opportunities and strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with MS Office Suite and data analysis tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address issues and challenges with effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate and compliant data management and procurement processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey findings and strategies to stakeholders and team members.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and with other departments.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand and interpret business needs to identify procurement opportunities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Must have):
- 1-5 years of experience or internship/Co-op in procurement, supply chain or finance, preferably in an analytical role.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting including advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and strategic sourcing.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the chemical industry, industrial manufacturing, or related field.
- Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with Maximo or Microsoft AX.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field (minimum).
