Associate Actuary

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Associate Actuary to join our dynamic team in Trenton, NJ, working in a hybrid model. This role involves collaborating with actuarial and cross-functional teams to tackle complex business challenges, specifically focusing on pricing studies, competitor analysis, and trend analysis. You will contribute significantly to our Auto, Homeowners, and Workers Compensation insurance products, and engage in strategic modeling projects in partnership with Predictive Analytics.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Conduct pricing studies for Auto, Homeowners, and Workers Compensation insurance.
  • Analyze rating variables and propose pricing changes to optimize profitability.
  • Perform competitor analysis to stay ahead in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with Predictive Analytics and Marketing teams to drive higher returns on advertising expenditures.
  • Analyze UBI data and make recommendations on pricing changes.
  • Perform trend analysis on insurance claims frequency and severity.
  • Evaluate the impact of crash-avoidance technology on Auto insurance claims.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial work.
  • ACAS credential.
  • Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
