In this role, you ll assist underwriters by collecting external customer information; performing data entry; helping with risk assessments; modifying policies; and more. $35,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of accurate policy recommendations for existing and prospective customers by verifying that all records in underwriting software programs are accurate and complete
  • Document and communicate policy approvals or rejections to the underwriting team, insurance agents, supervisors, and clients in a timely manner
  • Compile data and analytics for reports that can advise insurance policy guidelines and whether coverage should be provided
  • Call, email, and meet with applicants to collect and assess insurance information that will guide the risk assessment process and provides underwriting support
  • Track, manage, and prioritize insurance policy applications and other services by acting as the primary communicator between underwriters and clients
  • Review both new and renewal policies for accuracy
  • Review changes to client policies for accuracy
Qualifications:
  • Stellar communications and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor s degree in business, mathematics, finance, or similar is necessary
  • Keen attention to detail necessary to collect and maintain insurance customer information
  • Some years of experience working in the insurance industry or as an administrative assistant, or a related job is a plus
  • Designation as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred but not required
