Akkodis is seeking aLinux, Python - Trade, Risk for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL. You will take ownership of the onboarding support and proactive monitoring of trading systems, ensuring stability and efficiency.

Rate Range: $58/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Linux, Python - Trade, Risk job responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end business users, managing support for processes within the EM trading environment.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with business stakeholders, application development teams, and infrastructure contacts.

  • Monitor and alert on critical trading system environments, ensuring system stability.

  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, identify problem hotspots, and provide effective resolutions.

  • Implement releases and enforce change management policies in line with business needs.

  • Develop tools and scripts to drive efficiency and stability improvements.

  • Accurately track support efforts for effective management reporting.

  • Handle major incident management and problem resolution to ensure minimal disruption.

  • Oversee job scheduling and batch management using tools like Autosys and Crontab.

  • Collaborate with global teams, providing comprehensive support across the front-to-back trading process.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years in a similar support or development role within the trading or risk management domain.

  • Strong proficiency in Linux, Python scripting, and SQL. Familiarity with Bloomberg and Reuters.

  • Experience with trading risk systems, including monitoring and troubleshooting complex systems in high-pressure environments. Familiarity or basic coding knowledge of Python, .NET, or Java applications.

  • Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Geneos ITSM, Splunk.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $68.00 per hour
