Experience:

  • 12 to 15 years of business systems analysis experience, preferably within the P&C insurance industry or a related financial services sector.
  • Proven experience functioning as a Functional Lead for program-level business systems analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Lead with in-depth knowledge of Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with business process controls, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling and requirements documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Education:

College degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline, supplemented by insurance or computer-related courses/knowledge, or equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze complex facts and data, assess alternatives, and present logical solutions to business issues.

Communication:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to IT teams, business units, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and collaborate with staff at all levels to implement process improvements and technology solutions.

Organization & Detail-Oriented:

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Capable of managing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow and AWS is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute business systems analysis at the program level, working closely with business units and technology teams.
  • Act as the Scrum Lead, ensuring agile methodologies are effectively applied to meet project timelines.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and controls related to business operations.
  • Document business requirements, processes, and workflows using JIRA, Confluence, and other tools.
  • Facilitate communication between IT and business teams to ensure alignment on system and process requirements.
