Role: Lead AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: Piscataway, NJ/ Hybrid

Summary:

We are looking to hire a Lead AWS Cloud Engineer to join our project team. You will make recommendations and help to create and maintain cloud services for developers that use this infrastructure for their software. You will need great collaboration and communication skills as you will spend a large part of your role interacting with developers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • A Lead Cloud Engineer responsible for developing various products using Amazon Web Services (AWS) services.
  • Communicating with both developers and non-technical stakeholders of the organisation's cloud footprint.
  • Designing and implementing different components which are offered by AWS
  • Maintaining cloud components to maximize their uptime and performance and minimise their cost
  • Identify opportunities for current offerings within the organisations which could benefit migrating to the cloud.
  • Ensure everything that is built is inline with infrastructure as a code principles.
  • Ensure all components have adequate monitoring and logging to prevent outages.
  • Ensure there is a well written set of documentation for the cloud services that are being used..
  • This role is responsible for governing and providing education to Actuarial Team.

You Are:

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT Industry experience includes 5+ years of AWS cloud experience
  • At least 3 years of Leading team experience
  • Deep understanding of AWS Cloud platforms and services,
  • Strong experience in Cloud Infrastructure management, CI/CD pipeline, Security processes, Containerization and Orchestration , infrastructure optimization, Issues troubleshooting,
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as a code tool like Terraform
  • Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
  • Should have scripting skills
  • Excellent problem solving and articulating skills to drive teams.
