Position Description:

Senior EHS Specialist Corporate Chemical Management and Product Stewardship

The Senior EHS Specialist is a member of the Corporate Chemical Management and Product Stewardship team under GSE (Global Safety and the Environment). The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise and technical knowledge in SDS Authoring tools and EHS data maintenance in SAP.

The responsibilities include:
  • Create and maintain EHS Data in SAP (specification, material assignment, GHS labels, others) for SAP materials.
  • Upload and maintain Vendor Safety Data Sheets (VSDSs) and integrate SDS data into SAP. Support sites in managing vendor SDSs and Management of Change.
  • Collaborate with EHS IT and sites to support SAP Go-Live EHS activities/trainings by participating in workshops and creating EHS data required for testing.
  • Provide SAP security role approvals for new employees/existing employees.
  • Create and maintain SAP-EHS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidance instructions.
  • Support EHS Product Stewardship and chemical regulatory related projects, as needed.


Position Qualifications :

Education Minimum Requirement:
  • Detailed working knowledge of Hazard Communication and Labeling.
  • Bachelor's degree in a science discipline with a minimum of three - five years of experience in SDS Authoring, Labeling, and using EHS module tools in SAP.


Required Experience and Skills:
  • Detailed knowledge of the global business processes and capabilities in SAP EHS within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • Proficient in using SDS authoring tools, EHS transaction codes, specification creation, phrase maintenance, material assignment and EHS data build (Labeling and Composition data) in SAP.
  • Detailed Knowledge of Hazard Communication regulations, hazard classifications and SDS/Label requirements.
  • Demonstrate behavior such as adaptability, teamwork, accountability, and flexibility.


Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:
$101,100.00 - $159,100.00
