We are hiring for a part-time Intern to assist with various tasks and projects within functional unit at Maxar. Responsibilities can vary depending on the business unit, project, and intern skills. May engage in tasks such as research, data entry, administrative duties, content creation, attending meetings, problem solving, and collaborating with colleagues. May handle information of a highly confidential and critical nature. Professionalism and discretion expected. May work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
May require working with colleagues at all levels of the organization and potentially with external vendors. Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete projects/tasks. Will prepare an end-of-internship presentation to share out project worked on and lessons learned.
As a Maxar intern, those nearing graduation may have the opportunity to join the organization as a direct employee either full or part time following the completion of their internship. This may also include the opportunity to begin the process of acquiring a security clearance granting access to work on classified national security projects/programs.

Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$25.65 - $33.25 hourly.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with Cybersecurity staff members to detect and respond to security incidents, deploy, and manage security tools on the network
- Research security vulnerabilities and how they relate to Maxar
- Research threat actors on how they're probing Maxar
- Writing code to find security anomalies in data sets and report on findings
Required Skills:
- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in computer science, engineering or cybersecurity or related field from an accredited college or university
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- General communications and writing skills
Preferred:
- GPA greater than 3.75
- Programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript or equivalent
