DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position serves as a Core Human Resources (HR) Team Specialist within the Core HR Team, focusing primarily on Personnel Administration while supporting Organization Management, Benefits Administration, and Compensation Management. The role is technical in nature and involves collaboration with the Core HR Team Lead, other specialists, HR/Payroll/Travel Team members, and Business Process Owners to design, develop, implement, maintain, document, and support enterprise-wide HR applications. The incumbent operates under the guidance of the Core HR Team Lead, with work reviewed regularly through discussions and status reports. While adhering to HR rules and policies, the position requires independence, initiative, and sound judgment, as the incumbent performs complex technical tasks that involve collaboration with IES staff, key agency representatives, and third-party administrators. The specialist is responsible for timely completion of assignments and must ensure that goals and objectives are achieved efficiently and cost-effectively, with decisions regarding policy and timelines made in consultation with their supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 3 days a week in the office, 2 days at home. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of professional work in a business operations area; or
- One year of technical work in the review and redesign of business processes and the configuration and design of enterprise software in an SAP environment; or
- One year of professional work in a business operations area, and a bachelor's degree in public administration, business management, information systems or related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
