Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer this leader will be accountable to manage the people, processes, and technologies used to provide enterprise cloud infrastructure to all staff. This person should be at an Azure Architect level as it will be a technical hands on leadership role. This is a brand new team, so this person would come in to help continue building/implementing cloud road map, and eventually building a team in support of Cloud.
Responsibilities
-Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals and objectives
-Designing, optimized, scalable, secured, and cost-effective solution on Microsoft Azure
-Evaluate business needs and desired outcomes, design multi-year roadmaps, and build implementation capabilities with Business and Technology teams
-Optimize workload costs and efficiently running hybrid environments
-Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and data center technicians, providing guidance on architecture design, best practices, and technical direction.
-Creation of cost and pricing models for our internal customers
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency of our cloud environments and data center operations.
-The Architect role will lead the design and deployment of a robust and nimble cloud capability within the organization
-Provide expert advice on cloud native and micro services-based application solutions design, development, and resolution of technical issues
-Establish and enforce security policies and compliance standards to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks in both cloud-based and physical environments.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development, deployment, and operation of cloud-based applications and services, as well as the maintenance of on-premises infrastructure.
-Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage in cloud infrastructure and data center management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Previous Experience:
3+ years multi-site healthcare related IT experience with increasing responsibility
A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture or related roles, with leadership/management experience being a big plus.
Strong in Azure Cloud required
Deep understanding of Azure cloud architecture principles, networking concepts, and security best practices, as well as physical infrastructure management
Expertise in Cloud Architectures(Azure) including Cost Modeling.
Experience supporting the "scripting" of infrastructure, network, and systems rollouts (would ideally like someone that has experience help an organization with moving to cloud and building it from ground up).
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of technical professionals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and drive innovation in cloud infrastructure and data center solutions.
Experience with PMBOK, Agile and/or Scrum methodologies, certifications preferred.
Comfortable challenging the status-quo in an efficient, & constructive manner
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
Enthusiastic about building a team culture of innovation, automation & planful execution.
Ability to effectively communicate complex IT concepts simplistically.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Strong financial acumen and cost management skills.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or relevant certifications/experience in Information technology or related field
