About the job
We are seeking a talented Privacy Analyst to join our Technical Privacy organization to manage Technical Privacy Review program. This group provides essential tools and consultancy services to over 4,000 engineers throughout the company.

Technical Privacy Consulting (TPC), a segment of the Technical Privacy program, offers consultancy services across to embed privacy into software design as early as possible and to respect user privacy and safeguard customer personal data. The Privacy Analyst, positioned within the Privacy Architecture team, will oversee the technical privacy review triage and serve as the primary contact for anything TPC-related. This role involves working with privacy architects and engineers to identify, manage, prioritize, and track privacy controls and remediations. Additionally, this individual will ensure SLAs for review tickets are met and that privacy remediations are tracked and managed effectively.

The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker capable of effectively collaborating with various stakeholders and partners in a fast-paced environment, resolving roadblocks independently, and driving progress to mitigate overall privacy risks. This role is well-suited for someone who is comfortable with continuous learning and swift action, creating processes that accelerate engineering rather than impede it.

What the Candidate Will do
Triage and review incoming requests for technical software design/architecture and perform technical privacy reviews
Provide frequent updates on metrics and ensure that privacy review SLAs are met
Implement process improvements (ensure consistent tracking of tickets/fixes, create and manage dashboards for reporting, etc.)
Contribute to AI-driven projects by leveraging LLMs to automate privacy reviews, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy in identifying privacy risks
Work with engineering tools (Jira) and dashboarding tools (Tableau)

What You ll Need:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or hands-on experience with Privacy-by-Design
Solid understanding of privacy principles and the ability to identify common failures, good design patterns, and tradeoffs in software design documents
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Privacy Analyst as part of a privacy review program
Experience with data management/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and engineering tools (e.g., Jira). These will be required to gather metrics about the review process and make improvements
Advanced Jira and Excel skills
Clear and effective communication skills for various audiences (lawyers, engineers, data scientists, product leads)
Demonstrated ability to make swift, informed decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where ambiguity is common, and speed is essential
Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a bias towards action

Bonus Points If:
Experience managing large-scale, company-wide processes and identifying process improvements
Software engineering experience with a distributed tech stack
Experience reviewing technical documentation and working with engineers
Industry-related certifications such as CIPT
